Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -

  1. Operating and maintaining computing systems (hardware, software and networks) and data communication systems;
  2. Preparing and monitoring of maintenance procedures;
  3. Installing, upgrading and maintaining of computer software and hardware;
  4. Providing support to end-users in the departments and computer labs;
  5. Obtaining and setting of computer software for ICT training labs; and
  6. Providing support to the ICT Trainers and Computer Technologists in carrying out various laboratory/workshop activities.

For appointment to this grade an officer must have: -

  1. At least six (6) years’ relevant work experience at the grade of Information Communication Technology Officer II or in a comparable position;
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  3. Strong knowledge of ERP software, including relevant certification (Eg. Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate);
  4. Proficiency in SQL, database management and programming languages relevant to ERP Customization; and
  5. Knowledge of data protection laws is an added advantage.
  6. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
