Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -

  1. Sorting and classifying documents for filing;
  2. Updating and maintenance of personnel records and file indexes;
  3. Ensuring security of information and records in a registry/archive;
  4. Receiving, sorting, opening, and dispatching related registers are maintenance;
  5. Updating and maintaining file movement records;
  6. Ensuring receipt and proper dispatch of mails; and
  7. Digitizing the Institute’s documents for circulation and archiving.

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

  1. At least four (4) years relevant work experience at the grade of Records Management Officer II or in a comparable position;
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Information Science and Records Management, Records and Information Management, Library and Information Sciences, Information Sciences or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
  3. Proficiency in computer applications relevant to records management, including electronic records management systems (ERMS), database applications, document imaging tools, and digital archiving platforms; and
  4. Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

iii. Successful candidates will be required to provide clearance from (a) Kenya Revenue Authority, (b) Higher Education Loans Board, (c) Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, and (d) a Certificate of Good Conduct from Criminal Investigation Department.
